Fruit and Tree Nuts: Blooming, Harvesting, and Marketing Dates
This handbook identifies the usual blooming, harvesting, and marketing dates as well as principal producing counties and major varieties for the
fruits and tree nuts covered in the National Agricultural Statistics Service's national program of crop estimates. It updates the information contained in the previous edition of this handbook
issued December 1975.
The Field Offices of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service compiled the basic information, prepared the estimates of usual dates, and designated the important areas of
production and major varieties for their respective States. Growers and horticultural specialists were consulted to verify information published.
