Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 05/22/13

Receipts:  838    Last Week:  5,966    Year Ago:  1,339

   Compared to last week:  Stocker and Feeder cattle lightly tested so trend not 
applicable.  Feeding cows sold mostly steady in a light test.  Slaughter cows and 
bulls sold steady to 3.00 higher.  Demand moderate to good.  Approximately, 8 percent 
stocker and feeder cattle; 9 percent feeding cows; 9 percent cow/calf pairs; 62 
percent slaughter cows; 2 percent slaughter bulls with the balance misc. cattle.  In 
the feeder supply, steers made up 53 percent of the run; heifers 47 percent; steers 
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled 49 percent.  All bred stock sold by the head and 
pairs sold per pair, unless otherwise stated.  All bred cows and heifers represented 
to calve before May 15th, unless otherwise stated.
