Clovis Livestock Auction Summary - Clovis, NM - Wednesday -   5/22/2013

   Compared to last week:  Steers and heifers sold mostly steady to 3.00
lower.  Trade activity was moderate on moderate to good demand on weaned 
stockers.  Bulk of the offering consisted of Medium and Large 1 steers and 
heifers weighing 200-600 lbs.  The CME feeder cattle futures closed lower today 
especially on later months.  Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 1.00 lower.  
Slaughter cows and bulls made up 21 percent, 19 percent replacements and 60 
percent feeders.  Feeder supply included 47 percent steers and bulls, 53 percent 
heifers.  Near 17 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

180.50; 400-450 lbs 166.00-170.00; 450-500 lbs 155.00-166.00; 500-575 lbs
