USDA-NASS rated 58 percent of pasture and rangelands in poor to very poor condition which is up 4 percent from last week. Above average temperatures coupled with high dry winds have the majority of the state in red flag warnings as well as sparking wild fires throughout the state. Little relief is expected this weekend. Receipts remain steady in the two Southeast markets, with the majority of the supply consisting of cull cows and cow/calf pairs. Trading activity was moderate on moderate demand. The supply consisted of 43 percent steers and 57 percent heifers. Feeders over 600 pounds comprised 39 percent of the total supply. Combined weighted average report for 2 Colorado auctions this week including: Winter Livestock and La Junta Livestock.
