Cattle Auction Report for 05/21/2013

Receipts:  1696    Last Week:  2094    Year Ago:  2184

   Compared to last week, steers 500-700 lbs sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher;
heavier steers steady to 2.00 lower; four weight heifers sold steady to
4.00 lower; heifers 500-750 lbs 1.00 to 3.00 higher.  Supply moderate with
two reputation load lots of steers selling.  Demand moderate to good.  Cows
and bulls were 20 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and
bulls were 54 percent of the run; heifers 46 percent.  Near 58 percent of
feeders weighed over 600 lbs.  Slaughter cows traded 1.00-2.00 higher.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  pkg 440 lbs 164.00; 500-600 lbs
153.50-167.00, fancy 506 lbs 171.00; 600-700 lbs 144.50-157.00; 700-
800 lbs 129.35-145.00; two load lots 890-895 lbs 129.85-130.00.  Medium
and Large 1-2  pkg 363 lbs 184.50; 425-500 lbs 157.00-165.00; 500-600 lbs
