JO_GR110 Portland, OR Tue Jun 18, 2013 USDA Market News Portland Daily Grain Report Bids as of 12:00 p.m. Pacific time; Subject to change Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats and corn, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat bids are for full June delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery. July wheat futures closed mixed, from 1.25 cents lower to seven cents per bushel higher than Friday’s closes, with the decline in Minneapolis and the most advance in Chicago. Minneapolis September wheat futures closed 1.25 cents per bushel lower than Friday’s closes Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat delivered to Portland in unit trains and barges during June were not available as most exporters are not issuing bids for nearby delivery. Bids for July delivery were steady to firm compared to Friday’s noon bids. Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for June delivery trended 5.50 cents per bushel higher compared to Friday’s bids in lining up with the higher Kansas City July wheat futures. Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for June delivery trended 1.25 cents per bushel lower compared to Friday’s bids. Bids were pressured by the lower July and September Minneapolis wheat futures. Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars trended ten cents per cwt higher than Friday’s noon bids. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley trended mixed, from 11.25 cents lower to 8.75 cents per cwt higher compared with Friday’s noon bids.
