May 22, 2013 (REPORT 21) FOREIGN TYPE CHEESE The weekly average block price continued to decline on the CME Group last week, lowering domestic wholesale foreign type cheese prices by $0.0950. Domestic Swiss cuts and imported cheese prices were unchanged. According to Census Bureau estimates, food service sales across all segments totaled $46.4 billion during April, up 4.9%. This increase in restaurant business bodes well for both domestic and imported cheese sales.
