Slaughter Cattle Mid-Session and Close for 05/20/2013  

Receipts:  225

   Compared to last week, slaughter cows sold fully steady with slaughter bulls 
selling 3.00-5.00 lower.  Slaughter steers and heifers were not tested.  Note:  
Starting next week, the St. Joseph Stockyards will move to their summer schedule 
with all classes of cattle selling on Wednesdays through Labor Day.

   Slaughter Bulls:  Yield Grade 1-2  1335-1980 lbs 92.00-96.00, high dressing 
97.50-98.00, low dressing 85.00-91.00; indiv 2395 lbs 82.00.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1 Consignment 2-6 year old 1100-1200 lb 
good quality black cows w/250-350 lb calves 1775.00-1900.00 per pair.
